Bank Rakyat Malaysia, a leading Islamic cooperative bank, has committed to prioritising employee wellbeing by launching the Bank Rakyat Wellness Programme in partnership with Malaysian medical service provider PMCare and Naluri. This initiative marks a significant milestone as the bank rolls out its first Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) to over 6,000 employees nationwide.
Programme Launch at Bank Rakyat’s Health Day 2024
The EAP launch took place at Dewan Tun Abdul Razak on 4 November 2024 as part of Bank Rakyat's Health Day 2024, attended by the bank’s employees including Chief People Officer Jufree Soaidin and Chief Executive Officer Dato Dr Mohammad Hanis Osman.
The event kicked off with welcome speeches from both executives, who emphasised the importance of holistic health and the need to explore new ways of leveraging technology to support employee wellness in the modern workplace.
Kenneth Koh, Naluri Chief Operating Officer, also addressed the growing mental health risks in the workplace, particularly among younger generations who are increasingly prone to chronic conditions. He highlighted the value of holistic health coaching, sharing how employees can use the Naluri App to proactively manage their physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing.
Throughout the event, employees had the chance to meet with the Naluri team onsite to explore and register for the wellness programme. Bank Rakyat’s CPO and CEO, too, visited Naluri's booth to learn more about our services.
The afternoon included other interactive activities, such as health goal setting and meal rating challenges, encouraging employees to engage with their own health journeys. Attendees could also consult with Naluri's dietitian and counsellor to receive immediate insights into their personal wellbeing and nutrition.
The programme launch was a collaboration spearheaded by PMCare and Naluri, further enriching the range of resources available to Bank Rakyat employees.
The Bank Rakyat Wellness Programme
The Bank Rakyat Wellness Programme is designed to offer employees round-the-clock access to mental, physical, and financial health resources. It includes a 24/7 careline and textline, one-on-one consultation services, and a digital coaching app, all powered by Naluri.
Through the programme, employees will have access to Naluri's multidisciplinary team of coaches who can provide guidance on various topics, such as stress management, nutrition, exercise, sleep, and financial planning. This comprehensive approach ensures that every employee can receive the tailored care and support they need to thrive both personally and professionally.
